RESTORING & ENHANCING YOUR NATURAL BEAUTY
The hallmarks of youth are a glowing, flawless complexion. At AESTHETIKO, we strive to help you reach your beauty goals with non-invasive, modern techniques and products. The most important part of restoring and maintaining your natural beauty is enhancing your features in a way that makes you feel confident. Dr. Steensland will take the time during injections to help you achieve what is right for you.
NEUROMODULATORS (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport)
Facial wrinkles can cause a person to look upset, tired, or angry even when he or she is not. Neuromodulators or neurotoxins, commonly referred to as “Botox” (Botox, Dysport or Xeomin) are products that smooth out the muscles of the face and neck. These injections are especially powerful for erasing wrinkle forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, and frown lines between the eyes.
As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow's feet become more apparent. Dermal fillers, including Restylane, Belotero, Versa, and Radiesse, among others, are FDA-approved biomaterials that add subtle volume to the face. They can be used to fill in deep wrinkles or creases, such as the ones that appear in the nasolabial folds (the lines around the mouth), marionette lines (the lines near jowls), and the glabella (the lines between the eyes). Fillers can also be used to augment the fullness of the lips, enhance shallow contours, soften facial creases and improve the appearance of scars.
During your consult, Dr. Steensland will determine the best filler options for your unique needs. In office, we offer the following types of dermal fillers:
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers
HA is a naturally occurring substance that is already found in your skin. It helps keep skin plump and hydrated.
Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) fillers
CaHA is also a naturally occurring substance, found primarily in our bones. When used in a filler, the calcium particles are nearly microscopic and suspended in a smooth gel. The consistency of a CaHA filler is typically thicker than that of a hyaluronic acid filler. Calcium hydroxylapatite is also reported to help stimulate natural collagen production, and it is typically used for deeper lines and wrinkles. FDA-approved CaHA fillers include Radiesse®.
